IHE Consensus development conference on Self-Monitoring in Diabetes

In November 2006 the Institute of Health Economics (IHE) hosted the Consensus development conference on Self-Monitoring in Diabetes, looking specificallly at the cost of testing, whether people with diabetes use test strips to monitor their blood sugar levels and, if so, whether they act on the information generated from these tests.

This consensus statement on the benefits and costs of testing supplies for self-monitoring of blood glucose in diabetes was developed to inform patients, health policy, and practice. It is a product of the IHE Consensus Development Conference on Self-monitoring in Diabetes held November 14 to 16, 2006
