IHE participates in National Academies workshop on pandemic’s impact on aviation
Dr. Kate Harback, IHE Associate Director of Economics will be participating in a National Academy of Sciences workshop – “Aviation After a Year of Pandemic – Economics, People and Technology”. The workshop will examine what the future aviation industry will look like after a year of COVID-19? The virtual workshop will take place on June 28-30, 2021 from 12-4:30pm ET and focus on the long-term impacts of the pandemic on the aviation industry including economics, personnel, technology, and future steps. Dr. Harback’s panel will explore the question: “How has the economics of the aviation industry been affected by the current pandemic and what should be done to mitigate these impacts and assure the long-term economic viability? “. Dr. Harback https://www.ihe.ca/about/staff-directory/kate-harback brings a unique perspective to the topic as, in addition to her current work in health economics, her earlier career was focused on aviation and transportation economics.
