IHE launches Health Economics Virtual Workshop!

The Institute of Health Economics is pleased to announce that we are launching a virtual edition of the health economics educational workshop!

Due to positive response to the IHE’s Health Economics Educational Workshop held in Calgary and Edmonton in November 2018, the IHE is now offering an online edition – the IHE Health Economics Virtual Workshop.

The IHE Health Economics Virtual Workshop is a free, online workshop for small- and medium-sized life science companies. This online course is designed to help participants learn more about how health economics and early-stage technology assessment can support research and development planning, raise capital, and help communicate value propositions more clearly and effectively to payers.

The IHE Health Economics Virtual Workshop is endorsed by health economists from the Institute of Health Economics and is open to anyone at no cost to the learner.

The IHE Health Economics Virtual Workshop consists of:

  • Pre-Program Knowledge Assessment Quiz
  • Module 1: A Case Study Demonstration of an Economic Evaluation
  • Module 2: Innovation Adoption in Alberta and Canada
  • Module 3: Early-Stage Technology Assessment: A Case Study and Principles
  • Post-Program Knowledge Assessment Quiz

Participants of the virtual workshop will receive a Certificate of Participation upon completing the course.

The development and delivery of this course is supported by a grant from the Alberta Ministry of Economic Development and Trade.
