The Institute of Health Economics and The Network of Alberta Health Economists were pleased to present "Reflections on Balancing Academic and Policy Work," a mentorship and networking event for early career health economists (7 years or less from completion of PhD studies), with renown Health Economist, Dr. Karl Claxton, Professor of Economics, University of York, UK. Interested students had the opportunity to present their research to the group for input and discussion. At this event, Dr. Caxton presented key issues for future research with policy impact, followed by student presentations with opportunity for discussion.
Presenter
Karl Claxton is a Professor in the Department of Economics and Related Studies at the University of York. He is also a Senior Research Fellow in the Centre for Health Economics, University of York. His research interests encompass the economic evaluation of health care technologies.
