Kai has an MSc in Health Policy Research from the School of Public Health, University of Alberta, and a BSc in Biochemical Science and Technology from National Taiwan University. In her master's thesis, Kai used economic models to simulate the health and financial impact of sugary drink taxes on different income groups in Canada. Kai also did a summer internship with APERSU (Alberta PROMs and EQ-5D Research and Support Unit) conducting outcome research. Before her MSc program, she worked as a marketing intern and assistant in biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies. Kai is excited to use her experience in both biotechnology and health economics to assist life sciences enterprises in making better business decisions.
Kai is a member of the Network of Alberta Health Economists (NOAHE).
