Bing Guo is a Principal Research Lead with the HTA team at the IHE. Bing has led and conducted a wide range of HTA projects on various health technologies such as screening and diagnoses of cancers and newborn genetic diseases; medications, medical devices, and surgical treatments of acute or chronic condition/diseases; interventions/strategies to address mental disorders/social problems; and strategies to address implementation issues within healthcare delivery systems. Her work on suicide prevention was recognized by the WHO/Health Evidence Network (HEN) as a reliable information source to address relevant policy questions from European countries, and she and her colleagues were invited to prepare short reports and a book chapter for WHO/HEN. Bing has a broad interest in the use, adaptation, or development of research methodologies for conducting systematic reviews, rapid assessments, and environmental scans, including quality appraisal of non-randomized clinical studies, and diagnostic and screening accuracy studies. Bing is a member of Health Technology Assessment International (HTAi) and a member of the HTAi Interest Group for Patient and Citizen Involvement.
Bing holds a MD degree from the University of Heidelberg, Germany, and a Master of Public Health degree from the University of Alberta.
