Data from Statistics Canada's 2004 CCHS is used to compare physical activity patterns, sedentary behaviours and fruit and vegetable consumption for children and youth. Parents responded on behalf of children age 6 to 11, whereas youth age 12 to 17 answered for themselves. In the remainder of this analysis, the term "reported" is used for both selfreported and parent-reported responses.
