Laparoscopic adjustable gastric banding for clinically severe (morbid) obesity in Adults - An Update

The aim of this study was to determine whether laparoscopic adjustable gastric banding (LAGB) is a safe and effective procedure compared with open and/or laparoscopic Roux-en-Y gastric bypass (LRYGB) and laparoscopic vertical banded gastroplasty (LVBG), especially in the longer term (> or = five years), for adult patients with clinically severe obesity.
